
Native Valencian soprano Dolores Lahuerta studied Piano and Singing with Gloria Fabuel at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo in her home city, receiving both bachelor's degrees with the highest honours. She has attended masterclasses with Ileana Cotrubas, Dalton Baldwin, Teresa Berganza, Wolfram Rieger, Katia Kabaivanska, François Le Roux, Ernesto Palacio, June Anderson, Tom Krause and Alejandro Zabala.
She consolidated her artistic training entering the Opera Studio of Theâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels (2008-2009), under the guidance of José van Dam in collaboration with the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth and, later on, in the first season of Centre de Perfeccionament Plácido Domingo of Palau de les Arts of Valencia (2009-2010), under the artistic direction of Alberto Zedda.
She has performed the roles of Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte), Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), Marola (La Tabernera del Puerto), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Solveig (Peer Gynt), Geraldine (A Hand of Bridge), Violetta Valéry (La Traviata), Giulia (La scala di seta), Polixène (Les Troyens), Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Regina Isabella (Una cosa rara), María (Gloria y peluca) and Sofía (El estreno de una artista).
She has sung in Palau de la Música and Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, Theâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Calderón in Valladolid, Auditorio Víctor Villegas in Murcia, Castell de Bellver in Palma de Mallorca, with conductors like Alberto Zedda, Lorin Maazel, Valeri Guerguiev, Leo Hussain, José Miguel Pérez Sierra, Sergio Alapont, Juan Luis Martínez, Manuel Galduf, Santiago Serrate and stage directors like La Fura dels Baus, Mariusz Trelinski, Damiano Michieletto, Frederic Wake-Walker, Francisco Negrín and Ignacio García.
Prize-winner of International Singing Competitions such as Colmenar Viejo (Madrid), Francisco Viñas (Barcelona) and Torneo Internazionale di Musica (Verona), her repertoire includes, among others, the roles of Ilia (Idomeneo), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Adina (L'elisir d'amore), Norina (Don Pasquale), Marie (La fille du régiment), Elvira (I Puritani), Gilda (Rigoletto), Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), Manon (Manon) and Ma?enka (Prodaná Nev?sta).
